About the Role
You will own subassemblies and parts from the first sketch through validation. You will perform hand calculations, tolerance analysis, material and fastener selection, and FEA; fabricate, assemble, and test parts; then quickly revise designs based on test results.
Requirements
- Have 1–4 years of mechanical design experience or strong new-graduate project or internship experience
- Understand statics, materials, tolerance analysis, fasteners, and basic FEA
- Have experience building products, prototypes, or student-team projects
- Have hands-on machining experience
- Work on-site in San Francisco five days per week
- Have hardware, robotics, aerospace, or automotive experience
- Have CAM experience with Fusion 360 or toolpath programming experience
Responsibilities
- Own subassemblies and parts through design, analysis, fabrication, assembly, and validation
- Perform hand calculations, tolerance stack-ups, fastener selection, material selection, and FEA
- Build, assemble, and test parts on fixtures and robots
- Revise parts rapidly based on failed-test feedback
