About the Role
You will own a focused research question from literature review through implementation, experimentation, and results. You will train and evaluate audio models on real telephony data, design ablations, present findings, and help move promising results toward production.
Requirements
- Currently pursuing an MS or PhD in machine learning, computer science, electrical engineering, or a related field, or equivalent research experience
- Ability to read and reimplement research papers independently
- Experience with self-supervised, generative, or multimodal modeling
- Hands-on experience with speech or audio models
- Strong intuition for audio quality
- Fluency in PyTorch
- Ability to run experiments on GPU clusters
Responsibilities
- Own a research question from literature review through results
- Design ablations to isolate the causes of improvements
- Present and defend research findings
- Train and evaluate models on real-world telephony audio
- Use distributed GPU infrastructure for experiments
- Work with engineers to move warranted results toward production
