About the Role
You will develop search-quality systems, including personalization signals, ranking models, domain-adapted language models, and LLM-enabled question answering. You will write robust, maintainable code, ship production-ready models, and help mentor junior engineers.
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience
- BA/BS in computer science, math, sciences, or a related degree
- Experience with search, recommendation, natural language processing, or other large machine-learning systems
- Strong analytical skills and ability to work with data
- Ability to design, build, and ship production-ready models
- Proficiency in an ML framework
- Strong coding skills in Python, Go, Java, or C++
Responsibilities
- Invent signals to improve search-engine personalization
- Train ranking models that capture interactions between signals
- Design methods to domain-adapt language models to customer corpora
- Combine LLMs with search engines to answer complex questions
- Write robust, readable, maintainable, and testable code
- Mentor junior engineers or learn from experienced engineers
