About the Role
You will develop, train, evaluate, and integrate machine learning models for 3D and camera-based perception. You will write production Python and PyTorch code, analyze model failures, improve training and data workflows, document technical decisions, and mentor junior engineers.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree plus 4+ years of relevant experience, or Master's degree plus 3+ years of relevant experience, or equivalent practical experience
- Experience developing machine learning models for computer vision, perception, robotics, autonomous systems, or a related domain
- Python and PyTorch expertise
- Experience training, evaluating, and improving deep learning models using large-scale datasets
- Experience with image-based or 3D perception systems
- Understanding of deep learning architectures for perception
- Experience debugging model behavior and analyzing performance metrics
- Experience integrating machine learning models into larger software systems
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and improve machine learning models for perception systems
- Own perception-model development from data preparation through integration
- Write production-quality Python and PyTorch code for training, evaluation, and inference
- Analyze model performance and troubleshoot failure modes
- Develop and evaluate multimodal, camera-based, and 3D perception models
- Integrate models into production software systems
- Improve training pipelines, data workflows, experimentation tooling, and developer workflows
- Contribute technical recommendations on model architecture
- Lead small technical initiatives or model components
- Mentor Machine Learning Engineer I team members
- Document technical work, evaluation results, and design decisions
