About the Role
You will manage inbound and outbound deliveries, import and export processes, customs documentation, and customs-clearance issues. You will monitor shipments, coordinate with forwarders and brokers, validate payment requests, maintain compliance records, improve logistics processes, and support urgent delivery recovery.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, logistics, international trade, engineering, business administration, or a related field
- 1 to 5 years of experience in logistics, import/export, customs clearance, freight forwarding, or supply chain
- Hands-on experience with Malaysian import/export processes and customs clearance
- Knowledge of Malaysian customs procedures, HS codes, import permits, certificates of origin, customs declarations, and customs valuation
- Familiarity with air freight, sea freight, and Incoterms
- Oracle or SAP experience is an advantage
- Excel and data-analysis skills
- Ability to speak and read Malay, English, and Mandarin
Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end import and export processes for critical materials
- Coordinate import documentation and supporting documents
- Coordinate customs declarations and clearance with brokers and freight forwarders
- Resolve customs-clearance issues and document discrepancies
- Maintain import documentation and customs transaction records
- Monitor shipments through final delivery
- Coordinate urgent delivery priorities with internal teams and suppliers
- Manage freight forwarders, courier companies, and customs brokers
- Monitor forwarder performance and validate payment requests
- Maintain and improve import and export procedures
- Analyze customs and delivery problems and implement corrective actions
- Support new-product introductions and urgent shipment recovery
