About the Role
You will extend and maintain infrastructure across data centers, cloud environments, and blockchain nodes. You will secure and operate backend services, improve observability, monitor system health, integrate secure technologies, deploy patches, and maintain infrastructure documentation.
Requirements
- Degree in computer science or at least five years of systems-engineering experience.
- Hands-on Linux system-administration skills.
- Networking knowledge, including switches, firewalls, VPNs, and network protocols.
- Knowledge of Linux, Unix, HAProxy, Nginx, Apache, Squid, MariaDB, PostgreSQL, Prometheus, Grafana, Ansible, and Docker.
- Systems-engineering and defensive-security experience, including DDoS protection and intrusion prevention.
- Project-management and organizational skills.
- English proficiency.
- Cloud experience with Azure or GCP.
- German language knowledge.
- Knowledge of blockchain technologies and crypto assets.
Responsibilities
- Extend and maintain infrastructure across data centers, physical and virtual systems, and cloud environments.
- Extend and maintain blockchain nodes.
- Contribute to hybrid-infrastructure projects.
- Ensure secure backend operation, load balancing, failover, and database replication.
- Improve monitoring, logging, tracing, and alerting infrastructure.
- Monitor availability, latency, and system health of live services.
- Integrate secure technologies and applications.
- Deploy firmware and software patches.
- Create and maintain infrastructure technical documentation.
- Stay current with cloud-native technologies.
