About the Role
You'll work closely with the General Counsel and cross-functionally across the whole business, playing a key role in keeping the company compliant, protected, and moving forward. This is a broad, hands-on role with variety and real impact. You'll manage the end-to-end contract lifecycle for third-party service agreements, own customer-facing terms and conditions, monitor legal and regulatory developments in the FinTech and payments sector, prepare legal assessments on new laws and regulations, conduct legal research supporting new products and business initiatives, provide practical legal advice to stakeholders, and support customer dispute handling while coordinating with external law firms.
Requirements
- Law degree and ideally minimum 3+ years of relevant experience
- Fluency in German and English, both written and spoken
- Strong interest in in-house legal work and the regulatory framework applicable to FinTech, payments, and financial services, particularly EU and German laws such as PSD2, ZAG and GwG
- Comfortable working across a broad range of legal matters
- Curiosity about AI and its practical application in legal work
- Hands-on, pragmatic, and solution-oriented mindset with strong communication skills
- Enthusiasm for taking ownership, expanding into new areas of law, and partnering closely with business stakeholders
- Plus: experience working in FinTech, financial services, or a regulated industry
