About the Role
You will shape and scale the in-house legal function, drafting and negotiating commercial contracts, partnering with Sales, Operations, Product, Technology and Compliance, and managing external counsel. You will develop legal processes and best practices, expand legal coverage across jurisdictions and financial regulation, and deliver pragmatic business-focused legal solutions.
Requirements
- 4-6 years of PQE
- Excellent academic credentials
- Previous experience working with fintechs and financial institutions
- Ambition to build and run a function from the ground up
- Strong attention to detail and a high bar for execution
- Exceptional stakeholder management project management and communication skills
- Experience working in-house
- Financial regulation knowledge
Responsibilities
- Lead drafting review and negotiation of commercial agreements including client contracts strategic partnerships and vendor agreements
- Build and scale the legal function and develop best practices to improve efficiency
- Manage relationships with external counsel
- Expand the legal function to cover additional jurisdictions and financial regulation
