About the Role

You will design, build, and scale decentralized matching engines, risk systems, and limit order books for a blockchain protocol using CosmosSDK and related backend systems. You will provide technical guidance on architecture and tradeoffs, ensure engineering best practices through reviews and testing, collaborate with product and research to deliver features end-to-end, and mentor junior engineers.

Requirements

  • 8+ years backend software engineering experience
  • Experience with trading system development at a mid or high frequency firm including order entry and low latency feed handlers
  • Experience with exchange infrastructure including low latency order intake risk checks and matching
  • Strong experience in a systems programming language and network programming knowledge
  • Deep understanding of distributed systems software architectures strong CS fundamentals and strong debugging capabilities
  • Fast learner able to quickly master new technologies

Responsibilities

  • Design build and scale decentralized matching engines risk systems and limit order books for a blockchain protocol using CosmosSDK and surrounding backend systems
  • Provide technical guidance and leadership in navigating architecture and timeline tradeoffs
  • Ensure engineering best practices through architecture guidance code reviews performance testing and efficiency improvements
  • Collaborate with engineers designers researchers and product managers to turn requirements into products and lead execution end to end
  • Mentor and develop junior engineers
