About the Role
You will lead the regulatory reporting function, ensuring daily filings, monthly reports, reconciliations, and regulatory submissions are accurate and timely. You will manage and develop Financial Operations Associates, maintain controls and audit readiness, support examinations, monitor liquidity and margin adequacy, and improve reporting processes, systems, and workflows. You will partner across Product, Compliance, Risk, Technology, Accounting, and Development on initiatives, product launches, testing, and implementation.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field
- 3–5 years of experience in financial operations, regulatory reporting, or accounting within an FCM, broker-dealer, or other regulated financial institution
- Working knowledge of NFA and CFTC segregation rules and FCM regulatory reporting requirements, including the 1-FR-FCM and related filings
- Experience leading, mentoring, or developing a team, or readiness for people leadership
- Analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail and accuracy
- Knowledge of automation and process improvement opportunities
- Communication skills for cross-functional representation
- Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion
- Ability to work under tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Responsibilities
- Own the timely and accurate completion of daily regulatory filings, the monthly 1-FR-FCM report, and related NFA and CFTC segregation reporting
- Serve as the final quality control reviewer for reconciliations, general ledger accuracy, and regulatory submissions
- Maintain and enhance documentation and internal controls for audit readiness
- Act as the primary liaison during regulatory examinations and audits
- Monitor liquidity, foreign currency hedging, and margin adequacy, escalating and resolving issues
- Manage, coach, and develop Financial Operations Associates
- Design and deliver technical training programs
- Lead process improvement initiatives that increase automation, reduce operational risk, and improve reporting speed and accuracy
- Partner on new initiatives and product launches to ensure accurate books and records
- Identify reporting and regulatory considerations in cross-functional discussions
- Evaluate product and system changes for reconciliation and reporting impacts
- Lead testing and implementation efforts
- Collaborate to enhance Financial Operations tools, dashboards, and workflows
