About the Role

You will own and deliver backend engineering work for AI and agentic initiatives. You will define, scope, and prioritize work with cross-functional stakeholders; architect scalable Java and Kotlin backend systems; mentor offshore direct reports; and improve engineering operations while remaining hands-on.

Requirements

• 8+ years of backend engineering experience
• Strong command of Java, Kotlin, or other languages
• Experience as a lead-level individual contributor
• Ability to collaborate cross-functionally to define technical scope and deliver against business priorities
• Experience with or interest in managing remote and/or offshore engineers across time zones

Responsibilities

• Own and deliver backend engineering work across AI and agentic initiatives
• Partner with engineering, product, and healthcare stakeholders to define, scope, and prioritize work
• Provide day-to-day technical guidance and mentorship to offshore direct reports
• Architect and implement scalable backend systems using Java and/or Kotlin
• Improve Engineering team operations continuously
