About the Role
You will manage KYC operations across APAC and lead the KYC team in Bangalore. You will oversee compliant, timely KYC services, improve onboarding and account-opening processes, manage performance and workloads, resolve complex queries, recruit when needed, and collaborate with business, sales, compliance, and global KYC stakeholders.
Requirements
- Experience in financial organisations, KYC, and regulatory requirements relating to financial crime.
- Leadership and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience managing, growing, and developing large teams.
- At least 5 years of experience in KYC Operations, including client reviews and managing KYC teams.
- Degree-level education.
- Experience with process improvement and optimization.
- Understanding of KYC and the international financial regulatory environment.
- Ability to interpret regulatory-guideline changes and assess business impact.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and conflicting deadlines accurately.
Responsibilities
- Develop and manage teams that deliver accurate and timely KYC services.
- Ensure KYC KPIs and SLAs are met and improve response times to applicant submissions.
- Work with APAC business teams to improve application-to-account-opening time and conversion rates.
- Oversee KYC operations and ensure compliance with local requirements.
- Build a commercially aware, customer-centric team culture.
- Manage the team responsible for international account opening.
- Collaborate with EMEA KYC Managers to improve service excellence and operational efficiency.
- Promote collaboration among global KYC teams.
- Maintain high quality and operational rigor.
- Manage workloads, motivate the team, and improve KYC-process efficiency.
- Maintain relationships with Sales, Compliance, and other stakeholders.
- Resolve complex queries within tight time frames.
- Lead, engage, and measure team performance.
- Recruit employees when required.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives across the Bangalore team.
