About the Role
You will build hands-on skills while installing and maintaining servers, storage, networking equipment, and structured cabling. You will replace failed components, rack and stack equipment, install and test copper and fibre links, trace faults, and complete receiving, inventory, and physical site checks.
Requirements
- Hands-on technical or operations experience in a data center, critical environment, or adjacent technical trade
- Aptitude for hardware work, component-level tasks, and rack-and-stack
- Basic understanding of network links, copper cabling, and fibre cabling
- Methodical fault diagnosis
- Operational discipline and escalation skills
- Ability and willingness to work an on-site shift rotation
Responsibilities
- Install and maintain servers, storage systems, networking equipment, and structured cabling
- Replace failed drives, fans, PSUs, motherboards, and CPUs
- Rack and stack servers, switches, and supporting equipment
- Install, route, and label copper and fibre cabling
- Test cable and fibre links and trace faults to failing components
- Handle receiving, hardware inventory, and physical site checks
