Junior Customer Audit and Risk Analyst

About the Role

You will support completion of reviews and audits of partner customers, update KYC/CIP/CDD/EDD and beneficial owner information, and apply risk ratings and profiles. You will review documentation for validity, verify information via online sources, process watchlist and negative news alerts, and identify KYC concerns. You will escalate high risk issues, update risk assessments with senior staff, collaborate with business units and technology teams, and contribute to process improvements, policy development, and ad-hoc projects.

Requirements

  • College degree with strong academic credentials
  • Previous AML/CFT compliance or related FinTech or financial services experience (B2B2C) helpful but not required
  • Strong time management skills and ability to execute tasks within tight deadlines
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills to work effectively with colleagues across regions and business units
  • Ability to multi-task effectively and maintain attention to detail
  • Data analysis or recordkeeping-related skills helpful
  • Hardworking and driven

Responsibilities

  • Perform client due diligence and KYC/KYB screening on existing customers
  • Handle updated KYC/KYB packages and audit requests
  • Process watch list filtering and negative news alerts generated during customer updates and audits
  • Participate in projects and assigned tasks
  • Collaborate with business unit leaders, surveillance, compliance, and technology teams
  • Research and reverify entities and beneficial owners using online tools
  • Identify KYC concerns and escalate to senior team members
  • Maintain reference databases and assist in KYC client form processing
  • Conduct KYC due diligence searches and reviews for existing customers
  • Assist in audits of partner customers and shared end customers and flag inconsistencies
  • Respond to requests for KYC documentation
  • Identify opportunities to improve and automate manual processes
  • Escalate High Risk clients or material adverse information to senior staff
  • Update client risk assessments accurately with senior team members
  • Assist in developing and improving team policies and procedures
  • Support ad-hoc projects and reviews as needed
