Epoch AI investigates the trajectory of artificial intelligence by tracking drivers and bottlenecks, measuring model capabilities, and forecasting AI’s impacts. It operates public datasets and benchmarking work, and also provides commissioned research, model evaluations, and consultations.

About the Role
Set practical security protocols and keep them current. Identify and remediate security risks, make implementation decisions such as 2FA approaches, manage identity and access across core platforms, run cloud accounts and subscriptions, and lead technical onboarding, offboarding, and staff support.
Requirements
- Have 5 or more years of experience in security, DevSecOps, IT operations, or a similar field
- Have experience owning security at a medium-sized organization
- Have experience with complex technical and research projects
- Work fluently with engineers
- Have experience with identity, access, endpoint, and cloud operations
- Demonstrate strong knowledge of Google Workspace administration and AWS IAM
- Be able to travel
- Demonstrate professional-level English proficiency
Responsibilities
- Set and maintain practical security protocols
- Identify and remediate security risks
- Make security implementation decisions, including 2FA approaches
- Partner with engineering and research staff to implement workable security standards
- Manage access across core platforms and grant, modify, or remove access
- Administer cloud accounts, IAM, budgets, quotas, software subscriptions, licences, and renewals
- Lead the technical aspects of onboarding and offboarding
- Provide technical support for accounts and software
