About the Role
You will research, prototype, and build iOS apps, App Clips, and AR experiences that push Apple's AR ecosystem forward. You will design and implement AR UX and UI, optimize real-time graphics and performance, and integrate machine learning and computer vision where appropriate. You will consult with external AR and graphics experts and iterate on prototypes to production-quality apps. The role can be full-time or contract and responsibilities will scale with seniority.
Requirements
- Proven experience building iOS applications
- Proficiency in Swift
- Experience with ARKit
- Experience with SceneKit or RealityKit
- Experience with Metal or shader programming
- Familiarity with CoreML and Vision
- Experience with 3D game development or real-time graphics is a plus
- Experience with Unity or Unreal Engine is a plus
Responsibilities
- Research and prototype augmented reality interactions and experiences
- Build and ship iOS apps and App Clips
- Design and implement AR UX and UI
- Optimize real-time graphics and performance using Metal, SceneKit, or RealityKit
- Integrate CoreML and Vision models for on-device ML features
- Collaborate with AR and graphics experts to refine prototypes and implementations
