About the Role
You will help target and close new deal opportunities, sell and pitch investment-banking services, and lead day-to-day presentation development. You will execute complex transaction and valuation analyses, develop research themes, and identify and resolve deal issues. You will build and maintain senior client relationships, act as a day-to-day client contact, and oversee client materials. You will review associate and analyst work, provide training and feedback, support recruiting activities, and ensure compliance with applicable rules, regulations, policies, and procedures.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree.
- Prior investment banking experience.
- Three or more years at the Associate level.
- Acquire the SIE Exam, Series 79, and Series 63 within 150 days of employment for United States roles.
- Analytical ability.
- Mathematical, writing, verbal, and computer skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and senior-banker expectations.
- Leadership and coaching skills.
- Ability to lead transaction processes and pitch new business.
- Accounting and finance expertise.
- Ability to travel 20 to 40%.
Responsibilities
- Assist in targeting and closing new deal opportunities.
- Participate in selling and pitching investment-banking services and products to clients and prospects.
- Drive day-to-day presentation development and position the firm's advantages against competitors.
- Build and maintain relationships with client senior executives and serve as a day-to-day client contact.
- Direct financial and valuation analyses for debt and equity and execute analyses for complex, high-impact deals.
- Develop themes for research and analytic deliverables using product, industry, finance, and accounting expertise.
- Develop due diligence, research, and analysis approaches and identify potential deal issues.
- Review analyst and associate work for consistency, correctness, and formatting.
- Resolve issues arising in transaction execution and origination.
- Streamline processes and improve team efficiency and effectiveness.
- Train, coach, motivate, and provide feedback to associates and analysts.
- Participate in recruiting and training activities.
- Ensure compliance with applicable rules, regulations, policies, and procedures.
- Perform additional responsibilities as requested.
