About the Role
You will support new business development and investment banking transaction execution through financial analysis, research, valuation, and due diligence. You will build advanced financial models, prepare proposals and client presentations, participate in client meetings, and manage client relationships. You will monitor industry trends, improve processes, guide analysts and interns, and ensure work complies with applicable rules, regulations, policies, and procedures.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree.
- Prior investment banking experience.
- SIE Exam, Series 79, and Series 63 acquired within 150 days of employment.
- Analytical ability.
- Mathematical, writing, verbal, and computer skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and senior banker expectations.
- Leadership and coaching skills.
- Understanding of accounting and finance.
- Travel of approximately 10% to 30%.
Responsibilities
- Perform financial and valuation analyses for debt and equity transactions, including mergers, acquisitions, and capital raising.
- Review and guide Analysts’ work.
- Build advanced financial models to value clients and industries.
- Lead due diligence, research, analysis, and documentation for potential and live transactions.
- Identify potential deal issues and communicate concerns to team members.
- Develop presentations and test hypotheses to highlight financial analysis and research results.
- Develop and deliver proposals and presentations to clients and prospects.
- Develop marketing materials with analysts.
- Participate in client meetings and drafting sessions.
- Research industries and sectors, monitor industry drivers, and provide insights into business trends.
- Evaluate and improve BIC content.
- Identify process improvements and propose efficient solutions.
- Manage client relationships and communicate with finance and accounting staff.
- Assess macro factors related to client industries and investment banking products.
- Train analysts, provide constructive feedback, and improve analyst and summer intern work product.
- Ensure compliance with applicable rules, regulations, policies, and procedures.
- Perform additional responsibilities as requested.
