About the Role
You will support business development, transaction execution, and the delivery of investment banking products and services. You will conduct financial and valuation analyses, build financial models, research industries, lead due diligence, and prepare transaction documentation. You will develop proposals and presentations, participate in client meetings, manage client relationships, identify process improvements, and provide training and feedback to analysts and interns. You will also ensure activities comply with applicable rules, regulations, policies, and procedures.
Requirements
- Prior investment banking experience.
- At least 1 year of experience as an Investment Banking Associate is strongly preferred.
- Sector experience in energy, energy transition, oil and gas is strongly preferred.
- Acquire the SIE Exam, Series 79, and Series 63 within 150 days of employment for United States roles.
- Deep understanding of accounting and finance.
- Analytical ability.
- Mathematical, writing, verbal, and computer skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and senior banker expectations.
- Leadership and coaching skills.
- Travel approximately 10% to 30%.
Responsibilities
- Perform financial and valuation analyses for mergers, acquisitions, and capital-raising transactions.
- Review and guide analysts’ work.
- Build advanced financial models to value clients and industries.
- Lead due diligence, research, analysis, and documentation for potential and live transactions.
- Develop presentations and test hypotheses to communicate financial analysis and research results.
- Develop and deliver proposals, presentations, and marketing materials for clients and prospects.
- Participate in client meetings and drafting sessions.
- Research industries and sectors, monitor industry drivers, and provide business-trend insights.
- Identify process improvements and propose efficiency solutions.
- Manage client relationships and facilitate dialogue with finance and accounting staff.
- Assess macro factors affecting client industries and investment banking products.
- Train analysts, provide constructive feedback, and improve analyst and intern work products.
- Ensure compliance with applicable rules, regulations, policies, and procedures.
- Complete additional responsibilities as requested.
