About the Role
You will support equity capital markets origination and sector coverage groups by marketing and managing Equity Syndicate transactions. You will research companies, investors, and capital markets; build and audit financial models; prepare offering and marketing materials; coordinate feedback during offering execution; and ensure compliance with applicable rules and procedures.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree
- One to three years of experience in equity capital markets, equity research, equity sales and trading, investment banking, wealth management, or another deal-structured environment
- SIE Exam, Series 79, and Series 63 acquired within 150 days of employment
- Analytical ability
- Mathematical, writing, verbal, and computer skills
- Understanding of accounting and finance
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Travel of approximately 5%
Responsibilities
- Work with managing directors, directors, and vice presidents in ECM Origination and sector coverage groups.
- Market Equity Syndicate transactions and manage them in syndicate software.
- Build relationships with internal and external clients and peer investment banks.
- Research client companies, comparable companies and transactions, and institutional investors.
- Monitor capital markets and update client and equity databases.
- Track capital markets, industry, sector holding, and deal participation trends.
- Build and audit integrated financial models, including IPO and comparable company trading and valuation analyses.
- Prepare commitment committee, filing, selling, and investor-targeting materials.
- Coordinate feedback during offering execution with ECM Origination, Institutional Sales and Trading, and Research.
- Compile capital-markets marketing materials and recommendations.
- Prepare and supervise weekly and quarterly external marketing initiatives.
- Streamline processes and propose efficiency improvements.
- Develop understanding of macro factors affecting client industries and investment banking products.
- Ensure compliance with applicable rules, regulations, policies, and procedures.
