About the Role
You will conduct financial and valuation analyses for mergers, acquisitions, and capital-raising transactions. You will build financial models, perform due diligence and research, prepare client and management presentations, support proposals, participate in client meetings, and mentor interns and junior analysts. You will also ensure your work complies with applicable rules, regulations, policies, and procedures.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree
- Fluency in English and German
- Additional European language proficiency preferred
- Prior investment banking experience
- Previous Analyst or equivalent experience preferred
- Strong academic track record

- Travel of approximately 5%
Responsibilities
- Perform financial and valuation analyses for debt and equity in mergers, acquisitions, and capital-raising transactions.
- Build financial models and apply comparable-company, precedent-transaction, and discounted-cash-flow valuation methods.
- Conduct due diligence, research, analysis, and documentation for potential and live transactions.
- Identify deal issues and escalate concerns to team members.
- Draft management presentations, client proposals, and marketing materials.
- Participate in client meetings and drafting sessions.
- Research industries and sectors and improve BIC content.
- Streamline processes and propose efficiency improvements.
- Support client relationship development by understanding client needs and anticipating information needs.
- Develop understanding of macro factors affecting client industries and investment banking products.
- Mentor summer interns and subsequent analyst classes.
- Ensure compliance with applicable rules, regulations, policies, and procedures.
- Perform additional responsibilities as requested.
