About the Role
You will perform financial and valuation analyses, build models, conduct research and due diligence, and support transaction execution. You will prepare client and management materials, participate in client meetings, identify and escalate deal issues, improve processes, and mentor interns and junior analysts while following applicable procedures.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree.
- Internship or prior work experience in the financial services industry preferred.
- Proven track record in university studies.
- Analytical ability.
- Mathematical, writing, verbal, and computer skills.
- Ability to adapt to new tasks with little notice.
- Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously.
- Understanding of accounting and finance.
- Commitment to satisfying internal and external customers.
- Ability to travel approximately 5%.
Responsibilities
- Perform financial and valuation analyses for mergers, acquisitions, and capital-raising transactions.
- Build financial models and apply comparable-company, precedent-transaction, and discounted-cash-flow valuation methods.
- Conduct due diligence, research, analysis, and documentation for potential and live transactions.
- Identify potential deal issues and escalate concerns to team members.
- Draft management presentations, proposals, client presentations, and marketing materials.
- Participate in client meetings and drafting sessions.
- Research industries and sectors and improve BIC content.
- Streamline processes and propose efficiency improvements.
- Support client relationship development by understanding client needs and anticipating information requirements.
- Develop an understanding of macro factors affecting client industries and investment banking products.
- Mentor summer interns and subsequent analyst classes.
- Ensure compliance with applicable rules, regulations, policies, and procedures.
- Perform additional responsibilities as requested.
