About the Role
You will study pellet-cladding interaction analyses used to justify nuclear fuel behavior. You will learn the applicable technical bases, methods, and software tools; perform all stages of an analysis; identify optimization opportunities; implement them in Python calculation procedures; assess results; and prepare selected improvements for industrialization.
Requirements
- Final-year engineering or university student specializing in physics, mechanics, or materials
- Knowledge of physics or mechanics
- Interest in computing
- Proficiency in Linux
- Ability to develop procedures in Python
- Operational English
Responsibilities
- Learn the technical bases, codes, and methods used for nuclear-fuel justification studies
- Use software tools for pellet-cladding interaction studies
- Perform all stages of a pellet-cladding interaction study
- Identify and implement calculation optimizations in Python procedures
- Synthesize optimization results and prepare their industrialization
