About the Role

You will take ownership of US SOX compliance for PayPay and its group companies, deciding on response policies and supporting each company so that requirements are fully met. You will monitor group-wide SOX readiness, propose risk mitigation measures when issues arise, and work with frontline teams to implement solutions. You will evaluate internal controls through internal control assessments and give precise advice, collaborating with related departments to resolve identified problems. You will support first- and second-line departments in advancing internal controls, deliver evaluation outputs on deadline, and assess whether risk mitigation designs are appropriate when new services and products launch. You will negotiate SOX response policies with external auditors, covering scope, management evaluation approach, and deficiency handling, and you will maintain close coordination with internal and external stakeholders including group companies.

Requirements

  • Approximately 3+ years of experience at a business company, audit firm, or consulting firm in IT general controls (ITGC), IT application controls (ITAC), technology-related internal controls, system audits, SOX compliance, or internal controls development support
  • Experience using generative AI such as ChatGPT for business purposes
  • Ability to identify issues independently and drive improvements while involving others

Responsibilities

  • Support first-line and second-line departments in advancing internal controls
  • Conduct internal control evaluations and deliver outputs on deadline
  • Assess risk mitigation designs when new services and products are introduced
  • Advise first-line departments on internal control perspectives for new products
  • Negotiate US SOX response policies with external auditors
  • Monitor group-wide US SOX compliance status
  • Propose risk mitigation measures when problems arise
  • Coordinate closely with external auditors and group companies
