About the Role
You will learn and use a calculation code to model severe-accident transients in a sodium-cooled fast reactor. You will prepare input data, post-process results, validate calculations against test cases, assess the code's capabilities and limits, and share results with CFD teams.
Requirements
- Second- or third-year engineering student or equivalent university student
- Specialization in fluid mechanics or neutronics
- Fluid-mechanics or neutronics knowledge
- Linux knowledge or ability to learn Linux quickly
- PowerPoint and Word proficiency
- Python knowledge
- Operational French
- Operational English
Responsibilities
- Learn the calculation code and understand its capabilities, limits, and input-data preparation
- Prepare input data for relevant transients
- Post-process transient results
- Validate results against standard test cases
- Assess the calculation code's capabilities and limitations
- Share results with CFD teams
