About the Role
You will build and lead the company's communications strategy across executive, corporate, policy, internal, and product channels. You will manage media and press relations, handle reputation and crisis communications, own high-stakes internal and executive messaging, advise senior leaders, use AI to scale content and measurement, and coordinate agencies and partners to deliver on-message communications.
Requirements
- 12+ years in communications with senior leadership experience
- Experience in tech, fintech, or financial services; experience in crypto and blockchain preferred but not required
- Deep experience across executive, corporate, policy, internal, and product communications
- Proven ability to manage press and media relations and re-establish brand presence
- Track record partnering closely with C-level leaders
- Experience at fintech companies or banks; recent experience at a crypto-native or crypto-forward company preferred
- Strong relationships with finance and crypto reporters and outlets or demonstrable ability to build them
- Experience with regulatory or policy communications in major regulatory hubs (nice to have)
- Experience building or significantly scaling a communications function and managing internal teams and agencies (nice to have)
- Background in payments, fintech, or TradFi with connectivity to relevant reporters (nice to have)
Responsibilities
- Define and execute long-term global communications strategy
- Lead media and press relations and proactive storytelling
- Manage reputation and responsive reputation management
- Own internal and executive communications for high-stakes and regulated topics
- Advise the CEO and executive team on communications strategy and messaging
- Use AI tools to increase leverage in content development, research, and measurement
- Direct and coordinate external agencies, advisors, and cross-functional partners
