About the Role

You will define thermal designs from NPU and ASIC packages through PCBs, cards, and server systems. You will select cooling components, assess air and liquid cooling approaches, perform CFD and electrothermal simulations, validate results through testing, support reliability testing, integrate solutions with hardware teams, and produce design guides and reports.

Requirements

• Ability to use computational fluid dynamics to simulate heat transfer and fluid flow
• Ability to design active and passive cooling solutions
• Experience evaluating NPU card thermal performance using temperature recorders, FLIR cameras, or thermocouples
• Ability to collaborate with electrical, mechanical, and manufacturing teams

Responsibilities

• Define end-to-end thermal designs across NPU and ASIC packages, PCBs, cards, and server systems
• Select and design heatsinks, heat pipes, vapor chambers, cold plates, and thermal interface materials
• Evaluate air, liquid, two-phase, and immersion cooling approaches
• Run CFD and electrothermal simulations
• Validate thermal performance through wind-tunnel testing, temperature measurements, and simulation-to-measurement correlation
• Support thermal cycling and burn-in reliability testing
• Integrate thermal solutions with electrical, mechanical, and manufacturing teams
• Negotiate thermal specifications with OEM, ODM, and hyperscale customers
• Author thermal design guides, reference designs, and test reports
• Ensure compliance with hardware form-factor standards
