About the Role

You will define system architecture across compute, networking, power, cooling, mechanical design, and datacenter interfaces. You will write specifications, evaluate partner designs, make build-versus-buy decisions, model architecture trade-offs, and establish validation and qualification plans. You will work with infrastructure and ML performance stakeholders to ensure hardware supports production workloads.

Requirements

• Deep hands-on expertise in a hardware-systems domain for large-scale compute or networking systems
• Experience owning hardware system architecture at machine, rack, row, or cluster scale
• Experience authoring hardware specifications and requirements
• Experience taking hardware from architecture through bring-up and high-volume deployment
• Experience reviewing external vendor and partner designs
• Ability to evaluate trade-offs across hardware domains
• Technical leadership experience
• Strong written communication
• 8+ years in hardware systems architecture or engineering for hyperscale, HPC, AI or ML, or high-end networking platforms

Responsibilities

• Own system architecture from requirements through design review and deployment
• Write and maintain system, board, interface, and rack specifications
• Review vendor designs and make build, buy, or co-design decisions
• Define interconnect and networking architectures
• Drive board, chassis, system, rack, and data-hall architecture
• Develop performance simulations and hardware models
• Define platform validation, bring-up, qualification, telemetry, and reliability strategies
• Partner with infrastructure software and ML performance stakeholders on hardware decisions
• Establish AI-assisted approaches, review forums, specification standards, and partner engagement practices
