About the Role

You will lead monthly, quarterly, and annual consolidated closes and prepare accurate financial statements. You will manage accounting policies, internal controls, audits, intercompany accounting, foreign-currency controls, reporting packages, and accounting support for M&A and carve-outs. You will also improve ERP and close processes.

Requirements

• Business-level Japanese proficiency
• At least 3 years of audit-firm experience or practical audit-response experience at an operating company
• Advanced accounting knowledge and understanding of accurate, timely financial reporting
• Experience using English in emails and web meetings with overseas companies

Responsibilities

• Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual consolidated closes
• Prepare accurate financial statements
• Manage audit and statutory-disclosure responses
• Develop and apply accounting policies
• Maintain global accounting manuals
• Resolve technical accounting issues including revenue recognition, leases, and M&A
• Design and operate internal controls over financial reporting
• Manage intercompany transaction rules and transfer-pricing policies
• Control foreign-currency translation, elimination entries, and multi-currency reporting
• Standardize reporting packages from each country
• Optimize ERP and financial-close tools
• Support accounting for M&A and carve-outs
