About the Role

Manage and optimize a discretionary precious metals options portfolio across gold, silver, platinum, and palladium. Analyze market microstructure, order flow, and volatility; execute listed and OTC trades; manage portfolio Greeks and hedges; improve pricing models and execution tools; and monitor performance and risk.

Requirements

  • Degree in Finance, Mathematics, Physics, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Strong background in commodities or precious metals options trading.
  • Understanding of options pricing theory, volatility trading, and relevant strategies.
  • Experience in high-volatility asset classes and leveraged trading.
  • Proven track record of generating more than $2 million in annual PnL for over 3 years.
  • Experience with quantitative trading and data analysis.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
  • Experience in proprietary trading, market-making, or hedge fund environments.
  • Familiarity with automation and algorithmic execution strategies for options.
  • Proficiency with Python, Excel/VBA, and SQL.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and refine options trading strategies across gold, silver, platinum, and palladium.
  • Analyze market microstructure, order flow, and volatility dynamics to identify trading opportunities.
  • Collaborate with quantitative analysts and developers to improve pricing models, hedging algorithms, and execution tools.
  • Monitor central bank policy, real yields, US dollar strength, inflation data, gold reserves, and safe-haven demand.
  • Execute listed and OTC precious metals options, futures, and physical or spot trades.
  • Manage portfolio Greeks and adjust hedges dynamically.
  • Enhance trading infrastructure, data pipelines, and analytical frameworks.
  • Monitor portfolio performance and risk metrics.
