About the Role
You will build and evolve payment systems for billing, usage tracking, pricing, and payments. You will scope and safely migrate live systems, implement payment and pricing capabilities, address compliance needs, debug billing issues, and collaborate with finance, tax, sales, and engineering stakeholders.
Requirements
- Expertise in Python.
- Strong backend development background.
- Experience with software and system design patterns, APIs, cloud infrastructure tools, storage solutions, and data structures.
- Strong test design and security fundamentals.
- Attention to detail when changing live systems that handle money.
- Ability to learn large systems quickly and debug complex production issues.
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain accurate, low-latency usage tracking.
- Lead migrations for enterprise pricing and usage processing.
- Build stream-processing services for usage events.
- Improve customer upgrade and payment flows, including support for payment providers.
- Work with Finance and Tax teams on compliance, audit, and reporting requirements.
- Enable pricing and growth experiments.
- Debug complex customer billing scenarios and fix their causes.
- Scope, plan, and safely roll out system migrations.
