About the Role
You will deep-dive into sessions, users, and transactions to uncover fraud patterns and turn manual reviews into repeatable insights. You will manage active fraud attacks, participate in an on-call rotation, and take ownership of incident resolution. You will analyze large datasets using SQL, present clear data-driven recommendations, and work with Engineering, Product, and Data Science to implement scalable fraud solutions.
Requirements
- 4+ years in fraud prevention, investigations, or risk management (fintech/payments strongly preferred)
- Strong SQL skills
- Experience with BigQuery, Metabase, or similar analytics tools
- Proven ability to influence client-side stakeholders with clear, data-driven recommendations
- Comfort operating in ambiguity
- Strong critical thinking and structured problem-solving skills
- Clear communication skills to simplify complex fraud concepts
- High ownership mindset
Responsibilities
- Deep-dive into sessions, users, and transactions to uncover fraud patterns
- Convert manual reviews into repeatable insights to improve client fraud posture at scale
- Manage active fraud attacks and resolve incidents with urgency and precision
- Participate in on-call rotation and take ownership of incident resolution
- Recommend and optimize risk rules to balance fraud prevention and customer experience
- Influence model improvements through structured analysis and real-world feedback
- Analyze large datasets using SQL to surface actionable insights
- Present strategic recommendations to clients and internal stakeholders
- Collaborate with Engineering, Product, and Data Science to improve the platform
- Build scalable, repeatable fraud solutions
