About the Role

You will deep-dive into sessions, users, and transactions to uncover fraud patterns and turn manual reviews into repeatable insights. You will manage active fraud attacks, participate in an on-call rotation, and take ownership of incident resolution. You will analyze large datasets using SQL, present clear data-driven recommendations, and work with Engineering, Product, and Data Science to implement scalable fraud solutions.

Requirements

  • 4+ years in fraud prevention, investigations, or risk management (fintech/payments strongly preferred)
  • Strong SQL skills
  • Experience with BigQuery, Metabase, or similar analytics tools
  • Proven ability to influence client-side stakeholders with clear, data-driven recommendations
  • Comfort operating in ambiguity
  • Strong critical thinking and structured problem-solving skills
  • Clear communication skills to simplify complex fraud concepts
  • High ownership mindset

Responsibilities

  • Deep-dive into sessions, users, and transactions to uncover fraud patterns
  • Convert manual reviews into repeatable insights to improve client fraud posture at scale
  • Manage active fraud attacks and resolve incidents with urgency and precision
  • Participate in on-call rotation and take ownership of incident resolution
  • Recommend and optimize risk rules to balance fraud prevention and customer experience
  • Influence model improvements through structured analysis and real-world feedback
  • Analyze large datasets using SQL to surface actionable insights
  • Present strategic recommendations to clients and internal stakeholders
  • Collaborate with Engineering, Product, and Data Science to improve the platform
  • Build scalable, repeatable fraud solutions
