About Contro
Contro is an onchain debate platform where users can engage in meaningful debates and monetize their insights. The platform allows users to compete in tournament-style intellectual combat, host their own debates on any topic, and build their reputation. It is powered by a proprietary technology called Gradual Limit Order Books (GLOBs), which facilitates fair peer-to-peer markets without a house or preset odds, aiming to eliminate frontrunning and MEV. Users can trade arguments, win rewards in the form of $GLOBs, and climb leaderboards. The platform is currently live on testnet with a full public launch planned for its own GLOB chain.

About the Role
Own the frontend and help shape core infrastructure for Contro's Debate Prediction Game, including Postgres schemas, row-level security, edge APIs, backend workers, digital asset experiences, smart contracts, blockchain indexing, and fintech integrations.
Requirements
- Top 0.5% intellectual ability and curiosity, demonstrated through a quantitative degree from a top university or similar experience
- 5+ years of programming experience, including at least 1 year as a senior software engineer
- Proficiency in TypeScript and React
- Extensive experience with databases such as Postgres
- Interest in finance, blockchains, consumer applications, user psychology, and AI
- Security mindset
- Excellent written communication
- Go or systems programming experience is a bonus
Responsibilities
- Own the frontend code
- Work closely with the founder, senior product designer, and early users
- Monitor and iterate on the user experience
- Design Postgres schemas and row-level security policies in Supabase
- Write edge APIs
- Support backend workers
- Shape core infrastructure
- Enable digital asset experiences using WebAuthn
- Integrate smart contracts
- Own the blockchain indexer
- Work with fintech partners
