About the Role
You will build the analytics function from zero and own the numbers you define, where they come from, and what they mean. You will map data across onchain product financial and operational stacks into a coherent picture and tell the story of how data moves through the system. You will turn raw behavior into insights that shape how you grow, where you invest, and what you build next. You will stand up self service analytics so every team moves faster on its own, partner with engineering to raise the ceiling on what data can do, and bring product analytics to life across the surfaces that matter.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in analytics, business intelligence, or data engineering, ideally as an early data hire at a high-growth startup
- Strong SQL You can write complex queries across joins, window functions, CTEs, and subqueries without thinking twice
- Experience building and maintaining dashboards and metrics frameworks (Metabase, Looker, or similar)
- Ability to translate messy business context into clean data models
- Comfort working with high-volume event data and the tooling to process it efficiently (Spark, Databricks, ClickHouse, or similar)
- Clear communication You can present findings to an exec team and make data-driven recommendations that stick
- Working knowledge of data orchestration tools (dbt, Airflow, Dagster, Prefect, or similar)
- Proficiency with a product analytics platform (Amplitude, Mixpanel, PostHog, Heap, or similar)
