About the Role
You will lead first-line financial crime risk management across onboarding, due diligence, screening, transaction monitoring, blockchain analytics, and escalations. You will investigate complex and high-risk cases, conduct blockchain investigations, review case quality, identify control gaps, and support risk reporting and improvements.
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience in financial crime, AML, compliance, or investigations.
- Knowledge of AML, sanctions, CDD, EDD, and transaction monitoring.
- Hands-on experience with blockchain analytics and chain analysis.
- Experience in digital assets, banking, financial services, or consulting.
- Analytical skills and the ability to make clear, risk-based decisions.
Responsibilities
- Lead first-line financial crime risk management across onboarding, due diligence, screening, transaction monitoring, blockchain analytics, and escalations.
- Assess complex, higher-risk, and unusual clients and relationships.
- Lead sanctions, PEP, and adverse-media screening alert investigations and escalate matters appropriately.
- Lead escalated transaction-monitoring investigations and ensure conclusions are evidence-based and audit-ready.
- Conduct blockchain investigations, transaction tracing, wallet analysis, graph-level reviews, and exposure assessments.
- Lead CDD and EDD reviews, including ownership, control, risk categorisation, and relationship recommendations.
- Provide first-line oversight and quality assurance for case decisions, alert dispositions, rationale, and system records.
- Identify trends, control gaps, and emerging typologies, and support process, system, and control improvements.
