About the Role
You will oversee daily accounting operations, ensuring accurate fiat and digital asset reconciliations and maintaining audit-ready records. You will lead the month-end close, prepare financial schedules, and support management reporting. You will assist with regulatory financial returns, coordinate audits, and prepare tax filings including SST and corporate tax computations. You will implement process improvements to ensure efficient and compliant financial operations.
Requirements
- 3–5 years of relevant experience in accounting or finance roles
- Prior experience in a Big 4 audit firm preferred
- Experience in fintech financial services brokerage or high-transaction environments is an advantage
- Strong knowledge of financial reconciliations month-end closing and financial reporting processes
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel including pivot tables financial analysis and reconciliation
- Basic understanding of Malaysian Financial Reporting Standards (MFRS) particularly relating to financial instruments
- Familiarity with digital assets blockchain transactions or fintech operations is advantageous
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting Finance or a related discipline
- Professional certification preferred or in progress such as ACCA CPA or MIA
Responsibilities
- Oversee daily accounting operations
- Lead month-end closing including accruals prepayments and intercompany transactions
- Prepare financial schedules and support management reporting
- Perform and maintain fiat and digital asset reconciliations
- Assist in preparing regulatory financial returns and ensure compliance
- Coordinate with external auditors and prepare audit schedules including bank reconciliations digital asset holdings and fixed assets
- Support preparation and submission of SST filings and corporate tax computations
- Implement process improvements to enhance financial operations
