About the Role

Join FT Partners' growing equity research team to support coverage of FinTech companies and subsectors. The role involves financial modeling, valuation, thematic analysis, industry forecasting, research report writing, investment recommendations, and institutional client engagement.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field
  • 2–4 years of experience in equity research, investment banking, consulting, or asset management
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint
  • Strong understanding of financial modeling, accounting, and valuation methodologies
  • Familiarity with Bloomberg, FactSet, or Capital IQ
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to synthesize complex data
  • Strong interest in and knowledge of the FinTech ecosystem
  • SIE, Series 7, 63, 86, and 87 exams passed or willingness to obtain them promptly upon hire
  • Authorized to work in the U.S.; no visa sponsorship available
  • MBA or CFA designation or candidacy is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Support coverage of FinTech companies and industry subsectors
  • Build and maintain financial models, including earnings forecasts, DCF and comparable-company valuations, and scenario planning
  • Conduct company and sector research using public filings, proprietary data, and third-party sources
  • Analyze market, competitive, and regulatory trends
  • Author research reports, investment recommendations, and thematic pieces
  • Communicate investment ideas to institutional clients, internal stakeholders, and sales and trading teams
  • Prepare materials for client meetings, industry events, roadshows, and conferences
  • Serve as a point of contact for client inquiries and relationship management
