About the Role
You will lead the development of secure, isolated, network-controlled environments for AI agents and reinforcement-learning workloads. You will build sandbox primitives such as microVMs, containers, namespaces, cgroups, seccomp, snapshotting, and restore. You will own the security boundary and fleet-scale lifecycle performance, make architecture decisions in Go, manage engineers, and translate research needs into deployable primitives.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of people leadership experience
- Linux internals knowledge including namespaces, cgroups, seccomp, and virtualization
- MicroVM experience, ideally Firecracker-class
- Production Go experience
- Packet-level network isolation knowledge
- Performance profiling experience
- 8+ years building backend or infrastructure systems
- Experience partnering with product, design, and business teams
Responsibilities
- Build isolation layers using microVMs or containers, namespaces, cgroups, seccomp, snapshotting, and restore
- Own the security boundary for untrusted customer code
- Scale lifecycle management for thousands of concurrent environments
- Write Go and own architecture and difficult implementation decisions
- Coach and develop engineers
- Manage hiring, performance, growth paths, and feedback
- Partner with Product Managers on deployable primitives
