About the Role
You will lead and mentor multiple platform squads, owning processes and driving technical direction for the Core Platform, Core Data, DevEx, and DevOps. You will manage priorities in JIRA, run agile ceremonies, define roadmaps, and ensure delivery of robust, scalable data pipelines including blockchain integrations. You will monitor performance metrics, ensure security and compliance, collaborate with product and stakeholders, and occasionally contribute hands-on to solve critical technical challenges.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in software engineering
- 5+ years experience as a backend engineer
- 3+ years in a senior leadership role managing multiple teams or squads
- Proven experience managing teams of around 15 engineers within larger organizations
- Strong background in system architecture, data engineering, and infrastructure management
- Experience managing tasks and prioritization using JIRA
- Experience defining and managing roadmaps aligned with business objectives
- Deep understanding and application of agile methodologies including Scrum
- Ability to monitor and improve team performance using metrics and KPIs
- Familiarity with scalable architecture patterns, microservices, and distributed systems
- Hands-on experience with data pipeline technologies and APIs
- Hands-on experience with DevOps tools such as Kubernetes, Docker, and Terraform
- Solid understanding of CI/CD processes and cloud-native tools
- Proven leadership, communication, and mentoring skills
- Strong analytical and decision-making abilities for complex engineering challenges
Responsibilities
- Manage and mentor engineers and engineering leads across multiple squads
- Build a collaborative and inclusive team culture
- Set clear goals and provide regular feedback
- Own and refine team processes and ensure agile adherence
- Facilitate agile ceremonies such as standups, sprint planning, and retrospectives
- Oversee task management and prioritization in JIRA
- Define and manage roadmaps, timelines, and deliverables
- Drive the technical vision and roadmap for platform and data squads
- Ensure delivery of robust, scalable data pipelines including blockchain integrations
- Advocate and enforce best practices in software development, DevOps, and developer productivity
- Contribute hands-on to solve critical technical challenges when needed
- Partner with product managers and stakeholders to align platform goals
- Monitor and improve key performance metrics such as lead time, uptime, and pipeline latency
- Ensure platform components meet security, compliance, and scalability requirements
