About the Role
You will lead, mentor, and manage DevOps, backend, and full-stack engineers. You will plan sprints, manage roadmaps, evaluate technical tradeoffs, coordinate software delivery, oversee on-call operations and incident reviews, improve CI/CD, and translate operational requirements into scalable technical milestones.
Requirements
- 4 or more years of engineering team leadership, sprint management, and developer coaching experience
- 7 or more years building and operating large-scale backend systems in SOA or microservices environments
- AWS architecture experience
- Experience operating complex SOA architectures at scale
- Knowledge of distributed-system failure modes and outage mitigation
- Experience with ML training infrastructure and SDLC integration
- Experience handling sensitive data, safety, and compliance
- Technical delegation and leadership skills
- Technical judgement and communication skills
Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and manage DevOps, backend, and full-stack engineers
- Design end-to-end features for robot operations and delivery experiences
- Structure projects, align timelines, and adjust execution
- Represent the team in technical and product discussions
- Own sprint planning, backlog grooming, and roadmap execution
- Evaluate technical decisions and long-term tradeoffs
- Improve system availability, latency, observability, and CI/CD pipelines
- Oversee on-call rotations and conduct production-incident post-mortems
- Translate operational requirements into scalable technical milestones
