About the Role

You will lead the development of realtime voice and multimodal experiences from prototype through production. You will own the roadmap, guide architecture for live voice systems, hire and develop engineers, improve reliability and scalability, and use user feedback and production performance to prioritize future work.

Requirements

• Experience managing engineering teams, including hiring, coaching, and performance management
• Software engineering background in backend or distributed systems
• Experience designing and operating production services on AWS or similar cloud infrastructure
• Track record of leading teams to ship complex projects
• Product judgment and ability to translate user problems into technical priorities
• Communication and cross-functional collaboration skills
• Experience with Rust, Python, Go, or similar languages
• Interest in AI products and willingness to learn quickly

Responsibilities

• Lead development of realtime voice and multimodal experiences from prototype to production launch
• Own the roadmap for voice and vision experiences and supporting infrastructure
• Hire and develop engineers
• Shape the architecture for end-to-end voice experiences
• Lead systems that connect live conversations to tools, agents, and long-running tasks
• Guide latency, reliability, session recovery, and scaling work for live voice
• Partner across SDK, client, infrastructure, and model functions
• Use user feedback and production performance to improve experiences and prioritize investment
