About the Role
You will lead and grow a product engineering team, shape the roadmap with product and design partners, and guide development of creation, editing, and collaboration features. You will set technical direction, partner with research and infrastructure teams, and maintain quality, performance, correctness, and reliability.
Requirements
- Experience leading engineering teams and developing engineers
- Experience building products from zero to one
- Product judgment and design taste
- Full-stack engineering fundamentals
- Ability to guide frontend, backend, and model-facing technical decisions
- Experience collaborating with product, design, research, and infrastructure partners
- Knowledge of performance, correctness, and reliability
- Clear communication and tradeoff skills
Responsibilities
- Lead, manage, and grow a product engineering team
- Partner with product and design to shape the ChatGPT Space roadmap
- Lead development of creation, editing, and collaboration experiences
- Set technical direction for full-stack product systems, editing and rendering surfaces, and model-facing integrations
- Partner with research teams on artifact tools, model behavior, training needs, and evaluations
- Establish standards for editor quality, correctness, latency, and reliability
- Work with infrastructure and enterprise partners to deliver dependable experiences
- Balance product development with technical investments and operational discipline
- Build an operating cadence that aligns the team and supports engineer autonomy
