About the Role
You will design, analyze, and integrate mechanical systems and subsystems for V-BAT aircraft and ground support equipment. You will own deliverables from concept and prototyping through testing, production, and field support. You will work with cross-functional partners to ensure designs are buildable and reliable, and you will provide hands-on support during ground testing, flight testing, demonstrations, and field operations.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related field
- 2-3 years of hands-on mechanical design experience in aerospace, ground support equipment, or related ruggedized hardware systems
- Proficiency in 3D CAD software such as SolidWorks, NX, or CATIA
- Ability to create detailed drawings, assemblies, and GD&T-compliant documentation
- Knowledge of structural design, material selection, and manufacturing processes
- Experience performing stress, thermal, tolerance stack-up, fatigue, and FEA calculations
- Cross-functional collaboration experience with Manufacturing, Quality, Supply Chain, and Program Management
Responsibilities
- Design, analyze, and integrate mechanical systems and subsystems for V-BAT aircraft and ground support equipment
- Own mechanical engineering deliverables from concept and prototyping through test, production, and field support
- Partner with Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Quality, Program Management, and Flight Operations
- Provide hands-on technical support during ground and flight testing, demonstrations, and field operations
- Troubleshoot issues and implement design fixes under tight timelines
