About the Role
You will own a project tailored to your co-op start date, duration, and location. You will contribute to aircraft development with guidance from a senior engineer, which may include circuit-board design, power-electronics verification, avionics validation, debugging, automated testing, or reliability testing.
Requirements
- Completion of at least the second year of a relevant degree, typically Electrical Engineering
- Strong technical fundamentals
- Engineering team or club experience
- Experience with electrical design software and tools such as Altium, KiCAD, and an oscilloscope
- History of ownership of project outcomes and exceptional results
- Ability to obtain an S//SAR security clearance is desired
Responsibilities
- Own a co-op project tailored to the start date, duration, and location
- Contribute to autonomous aircraft development
- Work with a senior engineer for technical input and professional development
- Design circuit boards for prototype flight-computer testing
- Design, simulate, and verify high-voltage power electronics
- Bring up and validate avionics systems
- Identify bugs and drive corrective changes
- Build automated test racks for flight-critical subsystems
- Run HALT campaigns for circuit-board reliability
