About the Role
You will own an electrical engineering project supporting aircraft development. You may design and test circuit boards, develop power electronics, validate avionics systems, identify and fix defects, build automated test racks, and conduct reliability testing with guidance from a senior engineer.
Requirements
- Completion of at least the second year of a relevant degree, typically Electrical Engineering
- Experience with electrical design software and tools such as Altium, KiCAD, and oscilloscopes
- Experience as part of an engineering team or club
Responsibilities
- Own a project tailored to the co-op start date, duration, and location
- Design circuit boards for prototype flight-computer testing
- Design, simulate, and verify high-voltage power electronics, DC/DC converters, and DC/AC inverters
- Bring up and validate avionics systems
- Identify defects and drive corrective changes
- Build automated test racks for flight-critical subsystems
- Run HALT campaigns for circuit-board reliability
