About the Role
You will own an avionics project through concept, design, verification, integration, flight testing, and manufacturing. You will design embedded circuits, support system integration and environmental qualification, and investigate and resolve technical issues for high-reliability systems.
Requirements
- Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
- Strong technical fundamentals
- Engineering team or club experience
- Experience with electrical design software such as Altium or KiCAD
- Ability to obtain an S//SAR security clearance is desired
Responsibilities
- Own an avionics design project that supports X-BAT flight-test milestones
- Lead the full product lifecycle from concept through manufacturing
- Design embedded circuits using analog, digital, power-conversion, high-speed, FPGA, MCU, and EMI/EMC technologies
- Perform system integration and verification
- Conduct environmental testing, qualification, and automation
- Debug issues, identify root causes, and drive resolution
- Design systems for reliability under radiation, temperature changes, and vibration
