About the Role
You will own board-level electrical hardware design from architecture and schematics through layout, fabrication, assembly, bring-up, testing, and integration. You will collaborate on packaging, interfaces, debugging, telemetry, manufacturing, environmental testing, and failure investigations.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, a related hardware field, or equivalent hands-on experience
- 3+ years of hands-on PCB design experience using Altium or a similar ECAD tool
- 1+ year of full-time early-stage hardware startup experience
- Experience owning PCB designs from schematic capture through fabrication release, assembly support, bring-up, and test
- Understanding of PCB fabrication, assembly, DFM, DFA, and DFT
- Experience integrating electrical hardware with cross-functional engineering teams
- Experience debugging PCBAs with lab equipment
- Experience with board-level hardware systems
- U.S. citizenship
- Current U.S. work authorization
Responsibilities
- Own PCB design from architecture through fabrication, assembly, bring-up, and test
- Design schematics and PCB layouts using ECAD tools
- Make board-level trade-offs across performance, manufacturability, reliability, thermal behavior, cost, and schedule
- Integrate hardware with mechanical, firmware, software, systems, propulsion, and manufacturing teams
- Apply DFM, DFA, and DFT principles and work with fabrication and assembly vendors
- Select components and debug PCBAs using lab equipment
- Support integration, environmental testing, field testing, and failure investigations
- Maintain engineering documentation, BOMs, release packages, test plans, and issue logs
