About the Role
You will build and run a scalable aircraft production system, including the factory, processes, staffing, and operating cadence. You will lead production, manufacturing engineering, and quality; own budget and headcount planning; improve throughput, yield, cost, and schedule; build supply-chain capacity; and ensure ITAR, safety, and quality compliance.
Requirements
- Experience leading a production ramp for a complex hardware system
- Experience building and leading production organizations and developing managers
- Experience owning functional headcount and budget
- Experience building daily-use manufacturing processes
- Accountability for throughput, yield, cost, and delivery
- Experience aligning engineering, supply chain, and operations
- U.S. citizenship, U.S. permanent residency, or eligibility under applicable export control regulations
Responsibilities
- Take aircraft from low-rate builds to repeatable, scalable production
- Establish manufacturing systems that run under real conditions
- Build, staff, and lead production, manufacturing engineering, and quality
- Own headcount planning and budget for production
- Work with engineering to close the gap between design and build
- Drive daily execution on the production floor
- Own throughput, yield, cost, and schedule
- Build supply chain capacity for production targets
- Reduce BOM cost without compromising reliability
- Establish a production cadence that increases speed while maintaining control
- Ensure ITAR, safety, and quality compliance
- Represent production in leadership, board, customer, and investor conversations
