About the Role
You will set the Clinic’s legal advocacy and learning vision, lead its operations and docket, and serve as lead counsel in Clinic cases. You will build partnerships with community and LGBTQ+ advocacy organizations, supervise and mentor law students, develop the clinical seminar curriculum, engage the law school community, and ensure policy compliance.
Requirements
- J.D.
- At least 5 years of relevant experience
- Admission to a state bar and ability to waive into the Massachusetts bar within 18 months if not already admitted in Massachusetts
- Commitment to public interest law
- Commitment to advocating for LGBTQ+ communities
- Significant litigation experience
- Teaching and mentoring interest
- Clinical education experience or interest
- Program or project leadership experience
Responsibilities
- Set the Clinic’s legal advocacy and learning vision
- Lead and manage the Clinic
- Develop and oversee the Clinic’s docket
- Serve as lead counsel in Clinic cases
- Engage community-based organizations and LGBTQ+ legal advocacy organizations
- Train, supervise, and mentor clinical law students
- Develop the clinical seminar curriculum
- Lead student outreach and engagement efforts
- Ensure compliance with clinical policies
- Participate in the clinical community
- Perform other assigned duties
