About the Role
You will define and operationalize engineering design standards across programs. You will standardize aerospace design, analysis, CAD, drawing, release, documentation, and configuration-management practices; support manufacturing handoffs; align engineering leaders; and improve design consistency, quality, and scalability.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in aerospace or high-performance hardware design environments
- Experience with strong engineering standards and design rigor
- Technical background across multiple engineering domains
- Experience defining or applying design standards, documentation practices, and configuration management systems
- Familiarity with MIL-STD-810, DO-160, and ASME Y14.5 GD&T
- Ability to influence senior engineers and align teams
- Experience improving engineering quality, consistency, and scalability
- Communication skills for technical audiences
Responsibilities
- Establish and own engineering design standards across programs
- Standardize aerospace design, analysis workflows, and system-level engineering practices
- Develop CAD, drawing, release, and documentation standards
- Support manufacturing and supply chain handoffs, including EBOM and MBOM creation and part demand
- Build an engineering excellence framework
- Align engineering teams on consistent practices
- Improve configuration management, documentation quality, and design consistency
- Support program execution and scalable engineering processes
